Campobello Island has two ambulances, a volunteer Fire Department and a Royal Canadian Mounted Police presence. Major medical problems are usually addressed at the hospital in nearby Machias, Maine.  Less severe medical needs are addressed at Campobello Health Services, centrally located on the island.
